Sorry it's taken me forever to do blog post. Im a little slow. I hope everyone had a great time at the family reunion a little over a month ago. ( wow time flys when your havin fun) Thanks to all the people who helped with the reunion and to make it fun for everyone. We missed those of you who couldnt make it to the family reunion hopefully we will see ya at the next one. I hope everyone has had a fun filled summer, ( I know I have.) This blog will now be turned into a preece family history blog. If you have any thing that you remember about the Preece family and would like to share it on the blog let me know and I will post it for you. Dress like you were going to the cabin!

These are things that I would bring with you, bring good walking shoes ( its not flip flop friendly, only at the pool ) bring a jacket it may be chilly in the mornings and at night. Also bring long pants for chilly mornings and chilly nights. Bring your bug spray with you there will be mosquito's.

Stuff to look out for!

I thought I would do one last blog update before we all head on the road to Preston ID. These are the things that you need to keep an eye out for once you get closer to Preston. We will have signs and balloons out on the state signs and also we will have a sign and balloons at the road you are suppose to turn at and along the way look for the my hideous looking signs that says Preece Reunion straight ahead. We will also have balloons at the entrance of Cub River. Once you see these you will know that you are in the right place. Have a safe and enjoyable trip to Preston, see you all on Wednesday.

Last Call for Money and Family Pictures!

Hey,

This is the last call for Money ( If you have not paid yet) and Family Pictures ( if you have not sent in a family picture).

We would really like to get a family picture from everyone I really don't want to draw stick figures of your family let alone try to find an outdated picture of your family. So please send them in if you have not already done so. Please send them in before Friday June 25, 2010. This is the dead line for both money and family pictures.

Cub River Lodge Guest Ranch 1942 North Deercliff Road Preston, ID 83263-5712 These are directions from Preston ID. if you are coming from Oregon or Boise ID. I would use this map if you can get your way to Preston then you won't have a problem finding the place. If you have a GPS I would highly recommend putting it to good use while traveling to Cub River.

As we get closer to this Family Reunion here is the low down on what is going to be going on the first night that we are up at Cub River, The Taylor group have told me to put this on the blog so here we go I hope I get this right. The Taylor group are going to have a gathering and dinner will be provided. Also if you guys want to bring any kind of games for the first night to play you are more than welcome.

Things that would be a good idea to bring!

Here is a list of things that would be a good idea to bring with you!

Bring a towel for showers or pool

Bring water clothes ( swimsuit) if you want to swim in the pool or sit in the hot tub or play in the river.

Bring your own shampoo and conditioner and whatever else you use in the bathroom.

Bring your own pillow!

There is bedding but if you want to throw a sleeping bag out on the bed your more than welcome to.

If you are cooking meals on your day and you have a special tool that you like to use bring it with you. there is stuff to use there but its all the basic stuff, like pans but no large soup pots, no cake pans, big serving bowls, all of the basic baking stuff.

We will provide all of the paper goods so you wont need to worry about bringing paper goods.

Paying for the family reunion

Hey guys and gals

If you are planning on going to the family reunion for the full three days and you have not paid yet please do so. For the three days it's 120 dollars for anyone who is 19 and older.

If you only want to go do a day trip and spend the night then you will have to pay 5 dollars a person for a meal or 25 dollars for the whole family for meals to stay over a night it will be 45 dollars a night for the whole family.

I know some of you said that you would want to stay in a motel or a camper or whatever else you would like to sleep in, but we all need to help and pay for the two cabins we dont want to lose the advantage of having the swimming pool and the access to the river etc. We hope all will pitch in and make this a successful reunion.

2007 Family Reunion!

This video is a slide show that I did of the last family reunion in 2007. Its about 3minutes and 30 seconds long. I did not add music to this one but once I put it on a dvd it will have music with it. If you want a copy let me know so I know how many to make for the family reunion.

Theme for the family reunion?

Hey Guys & Gals,

I'm trying to think of a theme for the family reunion and I am having a terrible time coming up with one. This is what my mom (Carol) came up with for a theme I'M THINKING PREECE! I would like to have the family input on this. If you have a better theme send them my way.
I would really appreciate it.
I will be looking forward to those themes for the family reunion.

There will be more information to follow. I took down the picture flyer that I had up do to safty. I will not be putting any kind of personal info up so when it comes time for directions on how to get there I will send a email with directions ( That email will go out in June) :)

I thought that it was a good idea to have a family blog for the family reunion that is coming up in July. So you will come here for information about the reunion. There will be no more emails about the reunion! It will all be here so you can check it on your own time for updates.


After the reunion, this blog will turn into a Preece Family History and every month or so we will post some snipits of history about the Preece's.
